Giyani appoints Robinson as interim executive chair, FitzRoy steps down

Giyani Metals Corp.has appointed Nigel Robinson as Interim Executive Chair, effective September 10, 2025. This follows the departure of Charles FitzRoy, who is stepping down from his role and leaving the company to pursue other opportunities.

Robinson, who was appointed Chair of the company in June 2025, will now assume expanded responsibilities as Giyani advances its flagship K.Hill battery-grade manganese project in Botswana. The company is currently focused on reaching first production of High Purity Manganese Sulphate Monohydrate (HPMSM) and finalising its Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS).

Robinson has more than 35 years of experience as a chartered accountant and over a decade in mining leadership. He previously served as CFO and CEO of Central Asia Metals PLC (CAML) and currently remains a non-executive director at CAML. He holds an engineering degree from Lancaster University and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

To support continued strong governance, Stephanie Hart, a current Non-Executive Director, has been appointed Lead Independent Director.

Robinson said, “This leadership transition is a necessary step as we focus on delivering our strategic objectives. Over the next six months, we will streamline operations, advance the technical aspects of the project, and engage with potential off-takers and OEMs.”

Giyani remains on track to begin HPMSM production at its Demonstration Plant in Q3 2025, with the DFS targeted for release in Q1 2026. The company is also reviewing its organisational structure in preparation for a final investment decision and future commercial plant construction. As part of his departure, FitzRoy will resign from the boards of Giyani and all its subsidiaries.
