ABB acquires Bel Products to boost enclosures business

ABB Electrification Canada Inc. has finalised its acquisition of Bel Products Inc., a prominent Canadian manufacturer of commercial, industrial, and custom-made enclosures. This move significantly expands ABB’s portfolio in the rapidly growing enclosures market, allowing the company to better serve commercial, industrial, data center, and utility customers across Canada and the United States.

By incorporating Bel Products’ knowledge and product range, ABB will be able to utilise improved manufacturing, warehousing, and supply chain resources to address the growing customer demand. The company also mentioned in a media statement that the financial specifics of the deal have not been revealed.

The enclosures market is experiencing robust growth, driven by surging demand in data centers, OEM applications, and the broader electrical industry. As digital infrastructure expands and electrification accelerates, the need for safe, reliable, and high-performance enclosure solutions continues to rise.

Bel Products, established in 1964 and headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, is recognised for its custom-built enclosures, housings, panels, and accessories, serving key sectors including commercial, industrial, data centers, and utilities. The company will maintain operations at its Montreal manufacturing facility and Terrebonne warehouse, ensuring continuity for existing customers.
