In 2025, three leading African companies, Harmony Gold Mining, Sibanye-Stillwater and Exxaro Resources reaffirmed their positions in the globally recognised FTSE4Good Index Series. This continued inclusion highlights their leadership in environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance and their commitment to sustainable business practices.
Harmony Gold Mining has been included in the FTSE4Good Index for the eighth consecutive year, underscoring its ongoing commitment to strong ESG standards. The company achieved a percentile rank of 93 within the Industry Classification Benchmark super-sector, outperforming both industry and sub-sector averages across all ESG pillars.

The FTSE4Good Index Series, developed by global index and data provider FTSE Russell, measures the performance of companies demonstrating strong ESG practices. The indices serve as trusted benchmarks for investors focused on responsible investment strategies.
